Taking Out The Trash
The green trash and blue recycle bins that are full need to be taken out of the garage every week on Sunday night, or Monday morning before 7:00, and placed in front of the building for pickup. They can be brought back in later on Monday after they are emptied by the city.
1. Press the black Open button on the garage door controls
2. Wait for the garage door to fully open and come to a complete stop
3. Switch the red power lever down to the OFF position
4. Move the trash and recycle bins outside to the left along the wall
5. Switch the red power lever up to the On position
After a few seconds, the garage door will close on its own.
6. Bring the bins back inside after they are empitied
On Monday, after the bins have been emptied by the city, reverse the procedure and place the recycle and trash bins along the north wall of the garage as shown.
Please do not turn the power off to the garage door when it's in motion. This puts stress on it and can cause damage.
The garage door has a limited number of operating cycles before it requires repair, so we ask that it be used only for vehicle access and trash removal.
